Students in fifth grade learn to portray characters such as this class who were immigrants.

In class, we learn about characterization, pantomime, how to read scripts, learn stage directions and how to be an audience member to a cast member.  

Fifth graders begin the year by learning all about the stage and directions on the stage.  We begin by learning vocabulary associated with the stage and finding out how to present ourselves on the stage,  

This year we will begin with a study of masks on and off the stage. (since we are all wearing masks.)  Think of designs for the masks and also we will be researching the history of masks!
